PARADOX PASTOR is a blog to help people know God

It's both easy and difficult to connect with God through Jesus. It's paradoxical. As a "pastor" of a local church, I simply want to help encourage people along the way as best I can.
The platypus logo represents this idea of God's paradoxes. Is it an otter? Yes. Is it a duck? Yes.
What about YOU? You also are a paradoxical being!
Are you very, very important? Yes -- particularly to God who created you. Are you simultaneously very, very unimportant? Yes--to the billions of people who do not know you. You're BOTH, and in order to be healthy you need to believe both of those things!

The title of the blog comes from my belief that we have to be able to accept paradoxes in the Bible in order to live well-connected to God and one another. When we stop holding the paradoxical beliefs in tension together, we fall apart spiritually and relationally.

I'm a pastor at Cornerstone Global Methodist Church in Marysville, Ohio. OurCornerstone.Org

My degrees come from the University of Florida, Asbury University, Trevecca Nazarene University, and Asbury Theological Seminary, and I'm blessed with a wonderful wife and three sons: one out of the house, one halfway out of the house, and one still living at home.
